We are a fast-growing, international social media content production agency, producing over 170 content and campaign projects monthly for international brands and agencies. In an environment where speed, creativity, and scalability converge, we are looking for a Project Controller who connects finance and operations, ensuring control over project finances, processes, and profitability.

This is what you will do as project controller
As Project Controller, you are the financial lincon between operations, production, account management, and finance. You monitor the financial progress of all ongoing projects and ensure that project administration, forecasting, budget monitoring, and post-calculations are tightly organized and structured. You work in a high-volume project environment where overview, structure, and speed are essential. Thanks to your analyses and checks, both operations and management have real-time insight into budgets, margins, resource planning, and project results.

You report to the Finance Controller and work closely on a daily basis with producers, project managers, and the operations team.

Your responsibilities:

• Monitoring budgets, margins, and costs for over 170 projects per month

• Responsible for project administration and financial project control.

• Preparing and managing project forecasting and post-calculations

• Monitoring time registrations, freelancers, purchasing, and project costs Identifying budget overruns and operational inefficiencies

• Acting as a financial business partner for operations and production

• Setting up and improving project reports and dashboards

• Ensuring correct project invoicing and revenue recognition

• Analyzing project profitability and resource utilization

• Optimizing processes between finance, operations, and production Supporting month-end closures and financial reporting

• Improving data quality and project control within project management systems

Who are we looking for?
Our ideal finance manager:

• Higher professional or university level of education (HBO/WO) in Finance, Business Economics, or Controlling

• 3–6 years of experience in project control, financial control, or operations finance

• Experience within media, production, agency, consultancy, or project-based organizations is a strong plus

• Strongly analytical and highly structured

• You maintain the big picture in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-volume environment

• Strong Excel skills and experience with Teamleader Orbit and other project management tools Strong communication skills and able to make finance understandable for operations teams

• Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented

• Good command of Dutch and English
