About the Role

The Creative Lead Editor is responsible for leading Team5pm’s editing teams in Cape Town and Amsterdam, ensuring consistent creative quality, efficient workflows, and on-time delivery.

This role acts as the central point of leadership and alignment for all editors across both regions, working closely with Studio to ensure priorities are clear, deadlines are met, and output meets Team5pm’s creative standards.

Team Goal

The Post-Production team is responsible for delivering high-quality video content that meets client objectives, platform requirements, and Team5pm’s creative standards, on time and at scale.

• Cape Town and Amsterdam editing teams operating as one aligned unit

• Clear, documented workflows that reduce friction and rework

• Consistent creative quality across regions and accounts

• Strong collaboration between Post-Production and the wider Studio team.

Key Responsibilities

Creative & Operational Leadership

• Act as the primary link between the Cape Town and Amsterdam editing teams

• Define, implement, and maintain best practices for post-production workflows

• Co-create metrics to measure success on efficiency

• Ensure creative consistency and quality across all outputs and regions
  

Creative Direction & Quality Control

• Provide clear creative direction and feedback to editors

• Review work at key stages to ensure alignment with briefs, goals, and platforms

• Own and evolve Team5pm’s post-production standards and benchmarks
  

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and support editors across both regions

• Create clarity around ownership, accountability, and expectations

• Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and development guidance
  

Studio Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with the Studio team to ensure smooth handovers and clear priorities

• Support Studio in maintaining delivery schedules and meeting deadlines

• Flag risks early and collaborate on solutions to protect quality and timelines

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in video editing and post-production

• Minimum five years Experience leading or mentoring creative teams

• Comfortable working across regions and time zones

• Able to balance creative leadership with operational discipline
