With our Year Abroad Program, we offer Dutch and Swedish talents a unique opportunity to exchange talent while being based at our office in Cape Town for one year. Sounds awesome right?! Meet team5pm

We are a data-driven content group. By bringing together the worlds of data and creativity, our creative smart asses make effective content for brands. On platforms like YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. We do this with our labels 5pm and Lijm Amsterdam.

From our offices in Amsterdam, Stockholm, Cape Town, Warsaw and Milano we bring different people, perspectives and talents together – united by the same mindset: data drives us to be different. We’re not talking about complex excel sheets or boring 0s and 1s. No, the human behavior kind of data. About target audiences. With a tooling mix, consisting of our own video technology called topictree, we know what the target group wants to see, when and where. This way we find the sweet spot for brands - where the audience is, and the competition isn’t (yet). We combine this with loads of creativity. This is how we make creative content that gets real results.

The Year Abroad program: what is it?

With our Year Abroad program, we offer young talents the chance to get experience working abroad at our office in Cape Town. You will be trained to become a real expert within our field of video marketing and the world of YouTube. You do this while working with our awesome South African colleagues and growing your personal skills. It basically is an opportunity to exchange talent, learn from each other’s culture and to grow as an individual. In the end, there's an opportunity to join one of our offices for the long-run, how cool is that?!

The Year Abroad program lasts for 12 months in which you will learn everything you want to know within a selective discipline. You will work closely with the team in South Africa as well as your colleagues in The Netherlands.

Being a full-service video agency, means we offer loads of in-house job opportunities. Think: advertising specialists, research specialists or content creators. Before you start with the Year Abroad program, we’ll determine together which role would fit you best. 

The program starts in January 2024. Next to professional growth you will have the chance to have the time of your life in the mesmerising country of South Africa.

➤ We take care of your plane tickets and all the administrative stuff, like a visa. You take care of your housing and living expenses.

team5pm Cape Town consists of 12 South African young professionals who operate and have fun like a true community. The team works closely with their colleagues in the Netherlands and the Nordics. That makes us all a big family!

The Year Abroad Program: why do we do it?

We are an international company with clients and colleagues worldwide and we are eager to expand our experiences between our team members cross-culturally. That’s why we kickstart the Year Abroad Program by sending Dutch and Swedish talents to South Africa. The South African team members will share their knowledge and experience - and vice versa! Together, we will learn from each other.
